Allied Energy Group - Edwards Solar Systems

Edwards has a great history in solar hot water. Since Edwards started manufacturing water heaters in Australia in 1963, Edwards progressed to be an international leader in the production of hot water systems for residential and commercial applications, gaining reputation for excellent value for money and the latest in engineering design.

Stainless Steel Roof Systems The storage cylinders for all Edwards roof-mounted solar water heaters are constructed from long life stainless steel which acts as a natural barrier to corrosion. Therefore, the Edwards stainless steel systems do not require a sacrificial anode and are virtually maintenance free. On the other hand, competitors mild steel cylinders with vitreous glass lining are prone to irreversible corrosion once the anode has been mostly consumed.

Split Systems The ground mounted storage tank ensures easy installation and provides flexibility in location. Moreover, the modern slim-line design of the collectors mounted on the roof minimises the visual impact to your home. Split systems are the ideal solution where the roof cannot take the weight or space of a thermosifon roof tank.

Heat Pumps The Edwards Heat Pump's use of new refrigeration technology makes it extremely energy efficient using approximately one third the energy of a conventional electric water heater. The Edwards Heat Pump operates without solar collectors; heats the stored water from the top down, in a single pass through the heat exchanger. This means that when you turn the hot tap on, the Edwards Heat Pump is delivering hot water at the set temperature right away.
